Tummy Trouble!
Our poor little David is having some serious tummy trouble! We really starting noticing signs of trouble in early October. In the time between his 21 month and 2 year well check he lost a couple of pounds, he was constantly pale and began vomiting every 3/4 days. Our pediatrician asked us to make a food journal to see if we noticed a pattern of particular foods causing the vomiting and scheduled a weight check for a month later. Well... the next week we found ourselves having blood work done to check for anemia or a virus of some sort but his results came back normal. So... we made an appointment to meet with an allergist for a couple of weeks later as well as an appointment with a Gastroentrologist(sp) for Feb. but decided to take him off all dairy and eggs for a week each in the meantime. I was pretty confident that he had developed an allergy to eggs but the allergist said he had no food allergies. WHAT!! The following day was the weight check with the Pediatrician at which point he ordered another blood sample as well as a stool sample to check for Ghiardia and celiac disease. When the results came back from those tests the gluten count found in his blood was like 226 when the normal count is below 20.We were so relived to finally have a reason for all his tummy trouble that the next step was to schedule an Upper Endoscopy to find out for sure what we were dealing with. Which bring us to yesterday. He wasn't allowed to eat for 6\8 hours prior which meant by the time we got to the hospital he was ballistic. He kept saying I want Kennedy!, so sweet right? 45 minutes and a couple of doses of versed(sp) they finally got him knocked out and ready for the biopsy. That in of itself didn't take very long and all went smooth (thank you all for you prayers and concern). the physician was able to get a couple of different samples that he was pleased about and we should get those results by Tuesday. So what exactly am i saying? In short our little guy has Celiac disease. what is that you might ask? It is autoimmune deficiency. his body can't process the gluten found in wheat and flour. So our cracker loving, cereal monster won't be able to eat any of his favorite things. And that my friends brings you all up to speed with David.
here are a few picture from yesterday!
On our way to the Hospital.

Lately...
I know, I know it has been a while so here i am fully prepared to update all of you who are still interested and haven't given up on us. So lets begin, shall we?
This is what Kennedy came home looking like after playing at a friends house one afternoon. No its not war paint she is sporting that would be make up!
It's hard to tell but I think what he telling us is that he doesn't like the dinner.
Another of Davids favorite things...
Okay so we had a wonderful Thanksgiving spending time with Grandma/pa Moody, Uncle Sean and Alex and few of the girls from Seans single ward which were able to get a real Thanksgiving dinner thanks to my parents for opening their home and welcoming any one who didn't have someplace to go. A trait i truly admire them for! And while we didn't get much time with Ryan and his family while they were up from Arizona we did enjoy a few hours at the family breakfast the following morning and the grand kids got to decorate grandma/pa Christmas tree and receive a new ornament of their own to hang on our own trees!
Kennedy and Kyle.
David taking full advantage of all the "snacks" available to him at grandma Moody's house.
Sweet little Becca as cute as can be.
Kennedy and Jaden taking decorating very seriously.
Kennedy was so excited to see Jaden she could hardly stand it.
So the other day at lunch David wanted to sit at his own little table (which is actually the bottom shelf in our pantry) which was fine but when i had finished making Kennedys and my sandwiches he was gone and this is where i found him. He moved his lunch to the bottom shelf in his closet complete with tablecloth.
The latest piece of artwork that was added to our home! Luckily it was washable marker and it came right out.
Last Saturday was the annual Goodman family Christmas party where we enjoyed a delicious breakfast and then got to make graham cracker houses! We had such a great time. This is Dave and Davids double wide.
And this is Kennedy's and my little cabin.

Halloween Festivities
We had such a great Halloween and wanted to share our festivities with you. So here we go...
First we went to the pumpkin patch in search of some super great soon-to-be-jack-o-lanterns. The kids had a blast in the hay maze.
So many pumpkins it was hard to choose.
Now for the carving.....
Daves (top left) a ghost, Davids (top right) he colored something and Dave did a great job carving it out, Kennedys (bottom) a smiley face which she drew all by herself!
Then on Wednesday it was Kennedys pre-school program. She was Cinderella. I was very proud of her she didn't do the usual shy-cry she just sat in her chair (which fortunately was next to Nicholas) and did her thing.
Pretty as a Princess
Singing about fall leaves and their colors.
Cinderella and Captain America
Now the for real costumes.
David was a Monkey
And Kennedy was a Butterfly

So...You Think You Can Dance?
Last weekend we were invited to participate in a neighborhood S.Y.T.Y.C.D. par-tay. And was it ever! We had NO idea we were living among such talented people. I mean we knew they were great but we didn't know HOW great. We were assigned a type of dance, answered a question about our partner and even got critiqued by some judges just like on the show. We had to do the JIVE, I know scary right? So we did the 50's jive. We did okay but that's just fine by us because we had such a great time. A great big thanks to the awesome party planners/hosts and most importantly to Grandpa and Grandma Moody for their costume tips and babysitting skills.

Recently
Its been awhile and though we have A LOT to share we actually haven't been up to much. In an effort to keep you all updated here is what we have been up to recently.
Dave's younger brother Chad and his family have been up from Texas on their way to Hawaii. So we Utah Taylors took advantage of that had non stop fun fun fun. Confrence weekend we met that at Sills Cafe a deliciously inexspensive breakfast then came to our house and played until the guys went to priesthood meeting. It was a tad crazy but we were lucky to have all of dave's siblings and their kiddos here all together. Then sunday it was off to Grandma Roxannes for some tasty dinner and more family fun. Monday we all got together again and went bowling with Grandma Kristi and Grandpa Bruce for another full evening of rip roarin good times. Here is morgan and grandma
Little morgan covering his ears
Preston
Chase
Kennedy
Sweet Payton
Millie (she bowls like I do- if all else fails just kick the ball)
Cute Joan and Emory
Go David Go David!
Carter
SO... while my kids love to bowl sitting on and sliding down the ball return is apparently equally entertaining. David FINALLY getting to drive all by himself. He asks me almost daily if he can drive.
So what would make any family outing with Grandma Kristi and Grandpa Bruce better? Dinner and McDonald Playland! Okay i gotta give Payton some seriously due props! He would climb up the tubes and slide down all by himself and have the biggest smile ever-- so cute!
Here is Kennedy wanting in on the adoring parents at the end of the slides.
Meanwhile.... while most of the kids were having a hayday on the slides David kept himself occupied by moving all the chairs to one spot.
For all of our friends and family not in Utah this is what we woke up to last weekend.
Okay so last Sunday evening we went to pick up Morgan and Emory to come stay at our house for a couple of days while Chad and Joan were in Hawaii. All super heros wear mittens and have princess wands right?
Kennedy's static-y hair from jumping in the bounce house
Emory and her static-y hair
Morgan doing his cool flip
Cute kids playing at the park.
After a good hour of playing on the park toys Kennedy and Morgan did laps aroung the park which was a total bonus for Dave and I because they were hungery and worn out by they time we got home.
Thanks Morgan and Emory for playing with us We Love YOU guys!
