Monday, Monday!

On Monday I was feeling pretty good about things. I had all three of us dressed, fed and ready for the day by about 10:30. I had to go Visiting Teaching at 11:00 and I was feeling prepared. You would think I would learn to never let that feeling enter anywhere near my brain but I did and it came back to bite me. For those of you who don't live in Utah we got some serious snow on Monday. It started out being just windy but then the snow came and came and just kept coming. If it hadn't have been so windy it wouldn't have been that bad. Anyway, so I am at our appointment and surprisingly Kennedy had no issues going off and playing with the little girl. David was being a real stinker but in his defense it was about nap time. So we are having a wonderful discussion on President Hinckley when I realize I can't find my keys. But I just casually looked around hoping I was just sitting on them or something. Well when it was time to leave I started to get really nervous because I could not find them anywhere. They didn't slip into the couch, they weren't by her door. So I thought maybe I dropped them outside or they were in my car. NOPE they were no where to be found. Okay so all in all not the worst thing in the world right? The kicker for me was I had picked up my companion and her 3 month old baby girl and I had parked in our appointments driveway. Luckily she wasn't home when we first got there so she was able to drive us all home. But she couldn't park her van in her own garage so it wouldn't get covered in snow, which is kinda the whole point in having a garage. With my car still in her driveway not locked mind you I started freaking out because our only other set of keys was with Dave at work. And of course he was in an important meeting at work so he wasn't able to get home right away. But this story does have a Hero and a Happy ending. Dave came home about an hour later and went to get the van he took a small rake we have and sifted through the snow and was able to find my keys! I was so relieved. Morale of the story: Don't go Visiting Teaching - just kidding Put your keyes in a deep pocket so they can't fall out.

Okay, would you believe walmart? I went there to get coloring books and just walked over in the baby section and came across it about 4 -5 months ago. they didnt have tags on them, so I thought that I would just take it to the front and if it was more than 15 i would not get it. the lady rang it through and said it was on clearance for 4.00. best buy i ever got.
